A year in the hobby challenge

I agreed with Dave over at Confessions of a 40K attic ( http://40kaddict.blogspot.ie/) to take part in what he calls getting A,B & C done in the next year which will in all likely hood result in getting X,Y & Z done, but hay anything we get done is good right.

Anyway as is it way just after agreeing to part take life decided to lend a helping hand by making sure my hobby time for near enough the next year (hopefully longer) would be reduced a hell of a lot, but still I took up the challenge & it will be fun to look back this time next year to see how well I did(n't) do.

Now as I say on Dave comments if I was to list all I want to get done it would make a certain man (who only comes once a year) list look like someones weekly shopping list, so with the up coming change to my life I'm going to keep it small.

So on with the show.
First up try to get my sisters of battle that I'm using at the moment (1300pts) painted, this is I would guess less then half of them but one step at a time.

Second get my Anphelion base painted (http://ifitwasntforone.blogspot.ie/2014/05/40k-7th-ed-my-anphelion-project.html) I can't wait to use this in a game but refuse to do so until it's painted.

Third I want to do another table worth of terrain just like I did for the airbase (http://ifitwasntforone.blogspot.ie/2014/04/cqlg-airbase-finished.html) as sets like these are very enjoyable to do & in my opinion  put flavour in to a table.

Forth this is going to be the last but it is by no means the least I want to start playing another skirmish game as for all it faults (or maybe just ours) I found INQ28 great fun & I felt it added a lot to my enjoyment of the hobby in a gaming, story telling  & modellingway, the game I've got in mind is a game called Pulp Alley (http://pulpalley.com/)

Well that's it for me I rap this post up by thanking you for dropping in & if come this time next year I've failed try not to be to hard on me.

  3. Love your list and I love the fact you understand just how fluid this concept is. That even if you plan to do one thing and execute another it's all good. Anyway as soon as I saw what you've planned it made me think of these links: Anphelion Base http://thepaintingbunker.com/category/scenery/anphelion-base/

http://spikyratpack.blogspot.co.uk/ has some crazy stuff for INQ28, I know it's a different game but may be worth a look.

All the best and thanks for taking part.

    1. Thanks Dave, the net really is a gift in this hobby as one person (you in this case) can come up with an idea & then others all over the world can take part.

I get a look at the links later on mate & heres hoping for a productive year in the hobby.
