The film crew joined up with Connemara Feeney & headed out to get some shots at the mountainous back drop.
Not counting the inside of the Severed Head this is the biggest piece of terrain I've ever built measuring about 36" (900mm) x 12" (300mm) x 7" (175mm).
This photo really shows what the back drop adds as it give's you a sense of dept, with Connemara (Connie to her friends) quite clearly at a different level & looking a long way off.
While over all I'm more then happy with how it's turned out, I do feel it could maybe do with a wash & perhaps another dry brushing.
At a close up you can see the rock face looks a bit flat, I'm thinking a green wash followed by a brown wash might help to pop it, if after that it still not right then I'll give it a dry brushing.
That's a rap for this post as always my thanks for dropping in & if you'd care to leave a comment it would be welcomed.

ReplyDeleteThanks Doc, it's part of an over all plan that while still away off is slowly but surly coming together.
ReplyDeleteThat is an impressive slab of terrain! Looks really good and I'm sure it'll make for some interesting games.
ReplyDeleteThanks Preacher, I've started the wash on it & it looks more natural imo.
ReplyDeleteWow...that looks superb!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gordon, I'm happy over all with it but I'm trying to improve the rock face, will do an update when finished.
ReplyDeleteFantastic stuff Mr. Frank! PQ
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr Paul, I've gone over it with a couple of washes & a bit of highlighting & it looks a lot better imo, there will be a picture in the next post.
