Tricol, Digs at the dig site, A Pulp Alley AAR

Jack & the crew after receiving information from Alex as to the where about of the dig site, went in search of Elaine Darrow the Tect-priest's daughter but would they be alone in their quest ?

As Panama Jack & the crew arrive at the dig site, the first thing they noticed was a women standing on a little island in the middle of a river screaming at the top of her voice, who are you people & what are you up to you've no business here do hear me now clear off.

There seemed to be a lot of people about & some of them didn't look like the type you find on a archaeology dig, then Lucinda turn to Jack & said, aren't some of those guys some of your old friends that have been after us ever since we came to Shin-Tethys, her sharp eye's recognising one or to of them.

Ok lads Jack called out spread out & keep an eye out for anything that might be of use to us, I'll see if I can get to Miss Dorrow & convince her we mean no harm.

Hearing Elaine scream U'bunyu starts to run towards her watched by Numbers

The plot points, starting from the top left are, the green tent, the straw canopy, Elaine in the bend of the river, the green crates bottom left & U'bunyu on top of the dig mound

Felix rushes in on one of Slick's hired guns

As the Unknown tries to sneak up behind Adele Blanc-sec & X4Y 

But seems to trip over himself

Adele & X4Y moments before

X4Y goes down to a hail of bullets 

Mad Willie & Shades open up on each other

But then Pops leans a hand & Shades goes down

Mean while Numbers moves a round to the other side of the mound as Maggie comes under fire on the river bank

Over on the other side of the river the Doc goes to investigate what's on the table

But comes to the attention of Little Red & Jones & is cut down  

Lucinda who had taken to higher ground dishes out some payback

Slugger takes cover behind some crates & opens fire

Jack Oilskin & Ms Smith  try to come up with a plan

Which results in Jack & Oilskin moving up to the tents

Slick with a gun in each hand fires at Lucinda

 Not for long as Mr Smith rushes in

Slick dodges away & moves nearer to Lucinda

Face starts to make his way over to Elaine

Not to be put off the scent Mr Smith is soon back nipping at Slick, how had started a brawl with Lucinda

 Who slip away while Slick deales with Mr Smith but no without feeling some pain

 Unknown after regaining his feet gets rushed by Maggie

 & is put to the sword

 Adele wades her way over to Elaine 

Slugger decides he'll have a look inside the crates

 Mad Willie decides to watch some tv 

 & gets cut down for his troubles

 Slick joints Mr Smith on the deck as Jones moves around behind Lucinda & Felix, there seemed to by some kind of explosion by the table 

 Stay down but who ?

 Looks like Red is down as well

 Jack hears a noise coming from inside the tent, as Oilskin turns over the table to take cover behind it

 What kind of a foul creature is this wonders Jack & quickly puts him to the sword, before ducking inside the tent where he finds some papers 

 Things don't appear to have gotten any better for poor old Slick 

 Pops is down & out, not sure if he got it in the face or from Face

 Numbers keeps U'bunyu busy while Adele talks Elaine into getting out of here, I've a car waiting just beyond that mound go now while I cover you she says

 But what's this ?

 There seems to be explosions all over the place 

 I ask you could this day get any worse for Slick ?

 Jacks rewards so far

 & some more rewards but of a different kind

 All the explosions had caused some kind of a parley in the fighting, giving Adele a change to start her get away  

 Numbers decided it might be time he made a get away to while the fearless Maggie ran forward

 Adele make it to the safely to the back of the mound as Lucinda & Jack make their way across the river

 Lucinda takes care of Maggie while Jack looks after the harmless Numbers

Not to be out done Slick mugs Father Felix, robbing him of the item he'd taken from the table, maybe it wasn't such a bad day after all

Designer notes, If your reading this fallowing the story then the next post in the story is Flight 147 out of Malice which somehow got move on the blog.
The mission we played out was Hidalgo Fire from the Perilous island expansion of PA, kicking off the beginning of the campaign in that book, which seen Adele Blanc-sec & her followers make off with Elaine Darrow (the major plot point) worth 3 vp's.

The Bash street gang make off with two minor plot points (thanks to some late mugging) worth 1 vp each, so 2 vp's for them & Jack & the crew take one minor plot point so 1 vp for them but I'm sure the papers will be of some help to Jack in his quest.

The four explosions happened at the start of turn 4 & if the game seems very quick from that point on it was down to me forgetting to take picture for awhile in all the excitement, it not easy playing & taken pictures at the same time you know.

Adele & her followers is a new gang I've put together & I'll do a post on them soon I hope, so I'll finish up with my thanks to Paddy & Ralph for taken part in the game & for making it so enjoyable & as always my thanks to you for dropping in.
